Certification & Accreditation Support
i3’s Cyber and Security Engineering (CSE) Business Unit provides DoD 8570.01-M compliant Cybersecurity/Information Assurance and Network Security professional services to the Department of Defense to includes networks and systems from Operational to Research, Development, Test and Engineering (RDT&E) environments and networks. The CSE Team provides Cybersecurity Risk Management and IA Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support for Sensitive and Classified systems and networks supporting U.S. Army development centers and laboratories. Our security professionals are subject matter experts in the realms of policy generation, policy enforcement, risk assessment and analysis, and technical mitigation implementation.
Aside from the CSE Team also preparing and managing DIACAP, while transitioning to RMF, packages for the U.S. Army. Our professionals are also trained to support, track, and manage auxiliary systems such as the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS), the Army Portfolio Management System (APMS), and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS). In support of our U.S. Army customers, our professionals are well versed in the Goal 1 Waiver application process for all IT purchases.
Information System Security Assessments
The CSE Team performs DIACAP assessments for U.S. Army while utilizing the Standalone Information Systems and Closed Restricted Networks BBP (08-DC-M-0010), providing cost savings to the U.S. Army by utilizing in-house teams instead of costly external teams for assessment work. Our SIS/CRN assessment specialists operate within the Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) and the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC). These professionals display expertise in policy review, generation, and implementation; as well as technical vulnerability scanning and identification.
Tactical Cyber Security Integration
The CSE Team specializes in building and integrating cyber security into tactical systems that are deployed to the battlefield to ensure the most robust security posture available. Our security engineers are supporting Product Manager Air Traffic Control (PM ATC) on the Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS) developing a NSA compliant Commercial Solution for Classified (CSfC) implementation. Additionally, our security professionals are supporting a fully virtualized VMware implementation of the existing shelter. This includes building all of the system and networking security controls into the virtualized environment. Both of these initiatives will result in saving the program money as well as ensuring a more secure environment for our warfighters.
