i3’s Live Virtual Constructive Integration (LVCI) program is an Army/Air Force undertaking to support development of LVC environments for realistic and affordable exercise, training, and mission rehearsals, thus ensuring the Warfighter’s proficiency in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).

i3 has assembled a world-class team of software, radio frequency, and system engineers with in-depth military experience in the integration of multi-service training federations with distributed networks, instrumented range feeds and radio-frequency broadcast capabilities. The i3 team has created a Live, Virtual, Constructive environment supporting the training of the Close Air Support team, including Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs), Joint Forward Observers (JFOs), fighter and bomber crews, Control and Reporting Centers (CRCs), Air Support Operations Centers (ASOCs), and Combined Air Operations Centers (CAOCs). The team successfully demonstrated this training capability at the Joint Training Readiness Center that will revolutionize the force preparation of joint warfighters for the prosecution of future conflicts, and is readily adaptable to other Services and training venues as well as coalition partner counterparts.

Modeling & Simulation

Modeling and simulation (M&S) is getting information about how something will behave without actually testing it in real life. It uses models, emulators, prototypes, simulators, and stimulators, either statically or over time, to develop data as a basis for making managerial or technical decisions. i3 uses modeling and simulation in software development to create computerized battlefield scenarios for the Warfighter to practice in before being deployed to a live environment. i3 provides systems and software engineering to U.S. Government laboratories and supports the development and production of UAS and ISR trainers for Joint commands and all Services.   This same government owned Simulation Software is deployed at over 400 locations within DoD, to include all corps and divisions, all Hunter and Shadow Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and all Combat Training Centers.

This government owned Simulation Software permits commanders and staffs to train a wide range of advanced Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), including sensor cross-cueing, target hand-offs, Rules-of-Engagement, manned-unmanned teaming, persistent surveillance, forensics and asymmetric warfare operations during major military exercises. This same Simulation Software has been deployed throughout the Department of Defense, supporting all service Title 10 training federations, including the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Joint Live-Virtual Constructive (JLVC) Federations.

Digital Missile Simulation

i3 provides six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) simulation, modeling, and Verification and Validation (V&V) capabilities to the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) on the Army’s Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The i3 team writes requirements, develops the detailed mathematics, and implements high fidelity models of guided and unguided missile and rocket engagements including relevant environmental phenomena such as atmospherics, launch platform interactions, and sensor stimuli. In addition, the i3 team performs pre- and post-flight analyses in support of test activities and current military operations. The i3 team has in-depth experience with the Hydra-70 family of rockets, the Hellfire and Javelin guided munitions and various other developmental guided rounds such as the Joint Air to Ground Missile (JAGM) and the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS).
